In April 2025, drier-than-normal conditions dominated most of Southeast Asia, particularly over Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Timor-Leste, and Singapore. Significant rainfall deficits were also observed across parts of the Philippines, southern Thailand, and southern Viet Nam.
The rest of the region experienced near normal rainfall conditions.
The maps on the right (top to bottom) indicate the observed rainfall for April 2025, along with the climatological normal from 1991 to 2020, providing context for the anomaly map on the left.
