Assessment of rainfall for April 2023 showed that positive rainfall anomalies (50 to 150 mm) were observed over Brunei, Kalimantan and Sulawesi of Indonesia, and Southern part of the Philippines.

However, negative rainfall anomalies (-50 to -150 mm) were observed in most parts of Thailand, the southern part of Myanmar, the Northern part of Laos, North Eastern part of Vietnam, Eastern part of Cambodia, most region of Indonesia, and Central Eastern part of the Philippines. Furthermore, the rest of the ASEAN region are within the near normal range (50 to -50 mm).
