In January 2025, cooler temperatures were observed over much of mainland Southeast Asia, particularly in Cambodia, Thailand, Laos, and parts of Vietnam. In contrast, warmer temperature was observed in Myanmar, Brunei Darussalam, and across much of the Philippines. Parts of Indonesia, including areas of Borneo, Sulawesi, Java, and Papua, also exhibited slightly warmer-than-normal conditions.
Elsewhere, no other significant temperature anomalies were noted.
