Tropical Storm Cimaron (2416) in 2024 formed as a tropical depression north of Amami-Oshima Island on September 23, initially moving southeastward. It strengthened into a tropical storm south of Japan on September 24, reaching its peak intensity with 35-knot winds and a 998 hPa central pressure. Cimaron then made an erratic loop movement and weakened into a tropical depression before transitioning to an extratropical cyclone on September 27. It eventually dissipated over the sea south of Japan on September 30.
