Tropical Storm Jongdari, also known as Dindo in the Philippines, formed in the Pacific Ocean near Okinawa in August 2024 and moved northward towards the Korean peninsula. It brought heavy rainfall, strong winds, and storm surges to both South and North Korea, causing flooding and other damage. The storm also extended the ongoing heatwave in South Korea.
