Typhoon Cimaron

On August 16, a tropical depression formed near the Marshall Islands. It was named Tropical Storm Cimaron a day later. Severe Tropical Storm Cimaron rapidly intensified over the period of August 18-22. Typhoon Cimaron peaked its intensity just right before its landfall in Japan. On August 23, Cimaron made landfall over the southern part of Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. Typhoon Cimaron became Tropical Depression Cimaron and headed to the part of mainland Russia as nothing but just a weak low pressure area.
