STS Mawar

The LPA located North of the Philippines was developed into a Tropical Depression on August 30. It continued to strengthen and became Tropical Storm “Mawar” and headed to China in west-northwest direction. It then escalated into a Severe Tropical storm with maximum sustained wind of 50 kts near the center the next day. It made landfall in China on September 3 then dissolved a few hours later.
