In May 2025, easterlies dominated most part of the Maritime Continent and the eastern sections of the Mainland Sea while westerly wind anomalies were observed over the rest of the region.

Meanwhile, positive SLP anomalies where observed over the northern part of the region while negative SLP anomaly where observed on the southern part.
