A strong positive SLP anomaly was observed in the Northwest Pacific extending up to the Philippines, eastern part of Borneo and most of Eastern Indonesia while negative SLP anomalies dominated the rest of the SEA region.

Easterly wind anomalies were observed over most of SEA region.
