In April 2025, much of Maritime Southeast Asia experienced warmer-than-average surface temperatures. Significant warm anomalies were observed in the Philippines, Brunei Darussalam, parts of Indonesia, and across Vietnam and Cambodia. However, localized cooler-than-normal conditions were present in central Thailand, parts of Myanmar, and a small area in eastern Indonesia.
Elsewhere, no other significant temperature anomalies were noted.
The maps on the right (top to bottom) indicate the observed temperature for April 2025, along with the climatological normal from 1991 to 2020, providing context for the anomaly map on the left.
