November 2024 Surface Wind and Sea Level Pressure Analysis

In November 2024, prominent weak Southwesterly winds are observed over the western Philippines and most of the Mainland SEA and South China Sea. An anomalous anticyclonic circulation was present over the northwest Pacific near northeastern Philippines. Taiwan, aligning with the negative sea level pressure (SLP) anomalies in the same region.

Moreover, easterly wind anomalies where noted over eastern and southern Philippines and most of Indonesia. Moreover, most of Southeast Asia experiences negative SLP anomalies.
