January 2025 Rainfall (CPC-NOAA) Analysis

In January 2025, positive rainfall anomalies were observed in most parts of the Maritime Southeast Asia, particularly across central and southern Indonesia, including Kalimantan, Sumatra, Java, and Sulawesi, as well as Brunei Darussalam and parts of Malaysia and Timor-Leste. Strong positive rainfall anomalies were also evident over Singapore and the eastern Philippines, especially parts of Visayas.

Meanwhile, drier than normal conditions were recorded in parts of northeastern Mindanao, eastern Indonesia (including parts of Papua), and some coastal areas of southern Thailand and Cambodia.

Elsewhere, no significant rainfall anomalies were noted in January 2025.
