For August, the rest of the ASEAN region experienced slightly warmer than average surface air temperatures except for the southern part of the Philippines, most parts of Myanmar, northern Lao PDR, northern Viet Nam, northeastern and northwestern Thailand, western Sarawak, Malaysia, and some parts of Indonesia where near-average surface air temperatures were felt.
