Assessment of rainfall for August showed near to above normal rainfall conditions in the ASEAN region. However, negative rainfall anomalies (-50 to -150 mm) were observed in some parts of the region, particularly in Myanmar, central Thailand, Laos, northern part of Viet Nam, and some parts of the Philippines.
