For April, slightly warmer to warmer surface air temperatures were felt over the northern and central parts of Myanmar ,eastern and south eastern parts of Laos, northern and southern portions of Vietnam, portions of southern Philippines, and some patches in the central Indonesia including the north Sulawesi. However, slightly cooler to cooler than average surface air temperatures were observed in most parts of Thailand, southernmost part of Myanmar, extreme northen part of the Philippines, western part of Sabah and some parts of eastern Indonesia. Meanwhile, the rest of the ASEAN region have experienced near average surface air temperatures.
