In October 2025, easterly wind anomalies dominated the eastern sections of the region while westerly to southwesterly wind where observed over the western sections of the region including the South China Sea (SCS). Moreover, anticyclonic wind pattern was observed over the Northwest Pacific (north Philippine Sea).
Meanwhile, negative SLP anomalies where observed over most parts of the region except for the positive anomalies over the Northern Philippines.
