August 2025 Rainfall (CPC-NOAA) Analysis
In August 2025, above-normal rainfall was observed in many parts of the southern Philippines, Vietnam, Cambodia, northern Myanmar, and Borneo, including southern Sumatra, Java, and Papua.
In contrast, drier-than-normal conditions were recorded in Lao PDR, southern Myanmar, and nothern Sumatra. Rainfall in other areas of Southeast Asia was generally near normal.
