November 2025 Rainfall (CPC-NOAA) Analysis

In November 2025, Southeast Asia experienced significant rainfall variability, with several regions seeing extreme departures from the norm. Above-normal rainfall dominated much of Mainland Southeast Asia—including Thailand, Vietnam, and Myanmar—as well as the northern Philippines and eastern Indonesia. These areas saw substantial moisture, with some regions exceeding the average by over 250 mm.

In contrast, below-normal rainfall was concentrated in localized maritime areas, particularly around Singapore, parts of Sumatra, and western Kalimantan. Most of the central Maritime Continent remained near-normal during this transition period.

The maps on the right (top to bottom) indicate the observed rainfall for November 2025, along with the climatological normal from 1991 to 2020, providing context for the anomaly map on the left.
