Meanwhile, below normal rainfall was recorded in parts of the Maritime Continent, notably over western Indonesia (including Sumatra), portions of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and eastern Indonesia, suggesting relatively drier conditions in these areas. Localized dry anomalies were also evident in some parts of Papua.
