November 2025 Rainfall (JMA) Analysis

In November 2025, above normal rainfall conditions were observed across large parts of mainland Southeast Asia, particularly over Thailand, Lao PDR, Viet Nam, and Cambodia, indicating enhanced rainfall during the month. Portions of the northern and central Philippines also experienced wetter-than-normal conditions.

Meanwhile, below normal rainfall was recorded in parts of the Maritime Continent, notably over western Indonesia (including Sumatra), portions of Kalimantan, Sulawesi, and eastern Indonesia, suggesting relatively drier conditions in these areas. Localized dry anomalies were also evident in some parts of Papua.

The maps on the right (top to bottom) show the observed rainfall for November 2025 and the corresponding 1991–2020 climatological normal, which provide context for interpreting the rainfall anomaly map shown on the left.
