In April 2026, the CPC Leaky Bucket Soil Moisture Percentage Model captured an increase of runoff percentage over most parts of the region except for Lao PDR, most of Cambodia, most of Malaysia, Brunei Darussalam, Eastern Thailand, most of Western Indonesia and some areas in the Philippines and Eastern Indonesia, where a decrease in soil moisture percentage was observed.
