In September 2025, the CPC Leaky Bucket Soil Moisture Model captured an increase of soil moisture percentage over most parts of the region except for most parts Lao PDR, Cambodia and some areas in Malaysia and Indonesia where a decrease in soil moisture percentage was observed.
