TY Hato (Isang)

On August 19, a LPA east of Northern Philippines emerged into a Tropical Depression. The next day, it was upgraded into a Tropical Storm and was named “Hato” by JMA. Due to favorable conditions, it continued to intensify until it became a Typhoon with maximum sustained wind of 65kts while moving west-northwest. It then made landfall in China, southwest of Hongkong, on August 23 before gradually weakened then dissipated on August 25.
